I am pleased to announce that my latest pattern has now been released on Ravelry.

Sweet Dreams Shawl

You can get it here.

I’m sorry to tell you that this pattern wasn’t created from some magical inspiration. I wasn’t walking along a countryside path, or enjoying a nice day out. I was simply just so desperate to see what these two colours looked like knitted up together.

So I started knitting.

I finally chose the wave-like patterns, after much ripping out of other stitch patterns, because I was knitting while my little one slept in the evenings. We used to put on beach sound “white noise” as apparently, it would help him sleep. And I imagined dreamy waves for the shawl.

Later on, we found out it was actually waking him up more often (because noise is for day time and quiet is for night time of course!), but I hope he had sweet dreams all the same.
