I am pleased to announce that the test knit request for my next pattern release – my Ancestral Mittens – has now been sent out.

These fingerless mittens have been my go-to comfort pattern for many, many years now. When I don’t know what to make, I make these. It was the first thing I made after my Nanna died. It was the first thing I made with the yarn I inherited from her. It was the first project I made after my son was born.

This pattern gives me great comfort, but I’ve never been ready to share it with anyone. Until now.

Now that I am no longer the bottom branch on my family tree, I’m ready to share it with you. I hope it brings you some comfort like it has me.
